Special Notes from the Owner
Dear Clients, Guests and Friends,
All our Treatments at The Finishing Touch Esthetics are designed specifically to pamper.
We are a little over the top about cleanliness, and you'll find that we are extra cautious when to comes to sanitation, so you can feel confident and truly relax and enjoy your service. We offer some of the safest treatments in the Okanagan Valley!
Here are some of the hygiene and sanitation practices you can expect to find when visiting The Finishing Touch Esthetics... and why.
We have dedicated our lives to promote the well being of others, and because we want each guest to go home happy and satisfied.
During all waxing / massage services, your body will be draped with a sheet or towel to ensure your privacy. However, because your relaxation and enjoyment is our number one priority, please feel free to leave on as much clothing as makes you feel comfortable.
NOTE: Our massages are non-sexual. Please NO PERVERTS ALLOWED! Any person who is displaying sexual behavior will be regarded as abnormal and unacceptable, and may be reported to the Authorities.
Peaceful Services -
Are you completely stressed-out, and would you like to enjoy your service in peace and quiet?
We totally understand and will be more than happy to comply. We will shut off the sound system and if you prefer we will not chat with you while you are relaxing during your service.
Please just let us know so we will only interrupt your quiet time if we have an important question concerning your service.
We love Kids but -
The Finishing Touch Esthetics is a place where Moms & Dads come to rest and recharge their batteries.
So please, make arrangements in advance and come enjoy your service without your little ones. Children under the age of 10 will not be permitted in the spa, unless they are having services. When my under age clients are receiving services they must be accompanied by an adult.
Special Thanks -
It would be super fantastic if you could park on Glenmeadows or Spruce Glen Road and re frame from using any neighbors driveways for turning around. We will be installing a walkway in the future, but until then, could you please not walk on the grass, and go around to the front sidewalk. Thanks for complying with all my extra requests. It means a lot.

This protocol is a definite requirement for your safety.
Dual Washing of Hands -
Before beginning each service, The Customer will be asked to wash their hands prior to their service. Then both the Customer and the Technician disinfect their hands with an antibacterial liquid cleanser.
This helps prevent the spread of common germs. If you request, we will instruct you on the proper hand washing techniques required before your service using a disinfected nail brush, which is provided in the client
Metal Implements Sanitized -
All our metal implements used are sanitized with a professional hospital grade solution to remove debris, kill bacteria, and prevent the spread of germs, bacteria, viruses, and fungus. Sanitization is a standard procedure at The Finishing Touch Esthetics.
The implements for your service are properly sanitized at the start of your service. We dispose of anything that we can't sanitize.
These practices help us reach professional standards, which we feel are very much behind the times concerning your safety.
No Whirlpool Foot Baths -
The Center for Disease Control issued guidelines against whirlpool foot baths in 2001 because they are a breeding ground bacteria. If whirlpool foot spa filters are not properly cleaned after each service, serious skin infections can develop.
Why take the risk?
At The Finishing Touch Esthetics we soak your feet in a stainless steel bowl with that extra protection of using a one time throw away liner. Which is best and safest way to protect our customers from infections.
No Razors or Reusable Foot Files -
The use of a razor (called a "Credo" blade) to remove calluses is against my regulations. The razor blades themselves are never sterile, so when injuries happen, and they do, there is an increase in the chance of infection.
The foot files we use for effective callus sloughing have two parts to them, the stainless steel handle that is made for easy sanitization, and the removable grit files that are disposed of and replaced for each and every customer.
Ongoing Disinfecting of Sinks & Tabletops
For everyone's health and safety, Our services are timed so that we can clean and properly disinfect the studio surfaces between clients with hospital-grade solutions to remove debris, kill bacteria, and prevent the spread of germs.
So, please be on time for your service so that you can experience it's full benefit. If you are late, or you have particularly troublesome nails/feet that need extra attention, some portions of your service, such as the massage or scrub, may be shortened so that we can perform safe disinfection routines between clients and remain on schedule. There isn't a need to be earlier then your set appointment.
Diabetic Customers -
Any client that is diabetic and would like to have a pedicure is required to provide a "History and Personal Evaluation" before we can provide a specialized safe diabetic pedicure service.
Most Important Procedure -
We truly believe in treating each and everyone of our clients with love, respect and care. We will value you not only as a client, but as also as a friend. At The Finishing Touch Esthetics its not just a service, it's a friendship in the making.
We would like to Thank you in Advance for your patronage.
